The DON is accountable for the quality of care provided to residents, administrative tasks, managing nursing staff, and helping their facility meet established strategic goals. The DON’s duties include overseeing the nursing personnel and patient care, as well as administrative tasks such as record keeping and budgeting.
Prior Employment / Title: I have spent the last 15 years as either the Director of Nursing or the Executive Director of various Assisted Living and Memory Care buildings.
